Probably the best place to get started is to visit the Visit Bemidji website. Bemidji is well known for great public beaches, fun family activities with several things to do. Perhaps mini-golfing is something you would enjoy. Make sure to check out the many parades, fair, and events that take place not only during the summer, but year round.
The area has three post-secondary schools including Bemidji State University, Northwest Technical College and Oak Hills Christian College. Â If coming in the summer time is an option, a must see is the Moon Dance Jam Festival, one of the country's largest classic rock music festivals. The Jam is located only 45 minutes away. Family activities including fishing, swimming, and beautiful resorts are easy to find.
